NEW BUILDING GRAND OPENING & RIBBON CUTTING

The Millington Area Chamber of Commerce, Millington Industrial Development Board (MIDB), and City of Millington are pleased to announce the opening of a new corporate headquarters for Inman Murphy Termite and Pest Control, Inc, (Inman Murphy). A ribbon cutting and grand opening will take place on Tuesday, December 18th at 2:00 PM. The address is 8005 Veterans Parkway, Millington. The 9,800 square foot facility encompassing four acres is the first new business to be located along Veterans Parkway in Millington. The lot was sold by the Millington Industrial Development Board to be developed and leased to Inman Murphy for its headquarters. After exploring various options for his new headquarters, Inman Murphy owner Chris Murphy decided to reinvest and remain in Millington. He stated “Millington has been a good home to Inman Murphy for many years with its home town feel. Millington has been easy to deal with on all aspects of this project. This new location will help our team to continue to provide the best possible service across the board for all of our customers.”
Inman Murphy provides residential, commercial and industrial pest control services to a clientele in Shelby County and neighboring communities in the metropolitan area. The business has been operating for over 20 years. Their hallmark motto is “Exceptional Service.” The business employs over 30 staff members and is growing.
Millington Mayor Terry Jones states “We are so pleased that Chris decided to remain in Millington. Many options exist for new development. Our availability of quality land, utility capacity, a positive business climate and community organizations which reached out to support Inman Murphy showcases our positive business climate.” Mayor Jones further commented that “The high construction standards used by Inman Murphy in conformance with the Veterans Parkway Corridor Study give a preview of what future development along Veterans Parkway will look like.”
MIDB Chairman Carey Parham states that “The new facility is an outstanding addition to Veterans Parkway in terms of a quality building and new jobs. The MIDB is pleased to see that Inman Murphy’s business is doing so good that owner Chris Murphy decided to expand and improve his footprint right here in the Millington community.”
Millington Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Terry Roland states that this new facility on Veterans Parkway shows a winning spirit of accomplishments for the entire community team. He states “There is no “i” in team but there is an “i” in win, and that is what Millington is doing.”
